Carina Kooiman is an arts administrator, teaching artist, and ceramic artist originally from Oregon, now working in Pittsburgh. She works primarily with porcelain, using the white surface as a canvas for exploring surface design and texture. Her work is meant to be handled, used, and incorporated into your daily life. In addition to her personal studio practice, Carina is the Art Studio Manager for the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh and teaches handbuilding and woodfiring for Union Project.
