Kaoru Tohara is a photographer who works in Pittsburgh, PA. He holds an MFA in Photography from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. He has taught classes at Pittsburgh Filmmakers and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He is interested in creating work through different methods, including new and old technology, and by hand. Many of his photographs feature local landmarks.
