Jason LaCroix was born in 1979 and grew up in rural Massachusetts. He studied painting at Massachusetts College of Art and the Chautauqua Institute. Jason was a printmaking instructor in Easthampton, Ma in 2004-2006. He moved to Pittsburgh in 2009. His art practice has alternated between printmaking, observed representational landscapes, and systematic pattern based paintings. He has shown work at the Boston Center for the Arts, G.A.S.P Gallery in Brookline, MA, and the Harbor Gallery at UMass Boston, and a feature on RadioLab’s COLOR Episode. Most recently his work was included in “The Long Run” at SPACE Gallery, 2018, Pittsburgh.
